Torre DeRoche is the author of two travel memoirs, Love with a Chance of Drowning and The Worrier’s Guide to the End of the World. 

Her work has been published in two Lonely Planet anthologies: An Innocent Abroad and True Stories from the World’s Best Travel Writers. Her work has also appeared in The Atlantic, The Guardian, Open Skies and The Sydney Morning Herald.

Her blog,, has been profiled by Nat Geo, and hundreds of websites around the world, and Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love, said the blog was ‘Right on the money and very inspiring.’

She is now at work on her first novel, a horror story inspired by a screenplay her late father wrote in 1992.
